AFIRE represents The Aquaculture Feed Ingredient Resource Engine. AFIRE's goal is to enable feed companies to compare ingredients, and for ingredient companies to showcase scientifically relevant information.

How to use this database?

  1. The Ingredients menu above displays basic information on the ingredient based on Nutritional Compositional Analysis and processing that can affect results.
  2. The Experiments menu describes the experiment protocols ideally used to determine the ingredient efficacy as outlined in the Ingredient Evaluation process.
  3. The Results menu displays the results associated with each Experiment type.
  4. You can contribute data from your own feed or ingredient experiment.
